Board Meetings

PPTA Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month @9:30am and are open to all members to attend; check back for location of board meetings as they will be in several different locations.

A non-profit founded in 1936, the Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association promotes and maintains high standards of piano teaching by offering educational and support programs to  its members.

 

The PPTA also offers educational and competitive opportunities to member students though masterclasses, yearly progress evaluations and certification (the STAR Evaluations program), and composition and performance competitions.

Among PPTA members are private teachers as well as representatives from Pittsburgh's colleges and the association is affiliated with both the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC), and the Pennsylvania Federation of Music Clubs (PFMC).
