Pennsylvania Federation of Music Clubs
The Pennsylvania Federation of Music Clubs (PFMC) unites Pennsylvania’s musical clubs, teachers, performers, composers, and enthusiasts to promote American music and uphold the highest standards of musical artistry.
PFMC’s mission is to:

Promote American music and support the work of American composers and performers.

Encourage musicians and organizations with awards, recognition, and performance opportunities.

Provide a pathway to state and national competitions for both youth and adults.
Membership is open to all who love music — professionals, amateurs, educators, and supporters of the arts alike.
Pennsylvania Federation of Music Clubs
As a member organization under PFMC, the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) connects thousands of music teachers, students, and community leaders across the country. NFMC provides national recognition, scholarship programs, and music festivals designed to nurture talent and encourage a lifelong love of music.
Through PPTA’s affiliation, local Pittsburgh students and teachers gain access to NFMC events, scholarships, and competition opportunities on both state and national levels.

Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association’s connection to PFMC and NFMC gives our members and students a direct link to broader educational and performance opportunities. From local piano competitions and scholarships to national recognition and professional networking, these affiliations extend PPTA’s mission far beyond the Greater Pittsburgh region.
